Diagnosis Murder is a spin-off of Jake and the Fatman. Jake and the Fatman was itself a spin-off of Matlock. Here Matlock (Andy Griffith) appears in this two-parter. Grampa Simpson would be excited.
The various layers and sub-plots were a bit hard to follow at times, but I liked the behind the scenes of a stunt scene where one of the characters jumps into a hotel pool.
