When Braddock, as Col. Clyde, demands that the Germans feed the American enlisted POWs, one of the German officers turns to a guard he addresses as "Gefreiter [Corporal] Hauser" and tells him to feed the men. This is an "in-joke"--Robert B. Hauser was one of the series' cinematographers and, in fact, shot this episode.
The vehicle used to transport the "colonel" and the other POWs is the same one used in Hogan's Heroes (1965) as Gen. Burkhalter's staff car. It's a Mercedes-Benz W31 model G4 Parade Car. The six-wheeled, three-axle vehicle had four-wheel drive on the rear wheels (6 x 4) and was popular among the German military elite. Only 57 were built.
