The Black Wheels
Prismark1014 March 2020
Looking for the sign of lion, Catweazle discovers the long play record which he calls the black wheels.

Meanwhile Groome has lost his voice which means Lord Collingford might have to act as a tour guide in his mansion.

Catweazle is impressed with voice trickery in the noise box as Cedric has a record player.

Catweazle plans to use the magic of the black wheels to give Groome his voice back. It means trying to feed Groome crushed records.

Some good interplay between Peter Butterworth and Geoffrey Bayldon. We needed to see more of that in the second series. Catweazle also gets a medical examination in this episode. He was certainly not keen on the needle.

A lot of the second series of Catweazle is driven by Bayldon's performance. The zodiac link is very tenuous. Catweazle might as well turn to the horoscopes in the newspaper. He will have all the 12 signs then.
