- A body is found in the body farm. He died from what looks like a bullet wound, yet Dr. Robbins and Grissom can't find any bullet fragments. Instead, they found bits of ground beef inside the wound track. The team links this death to an arson case. The investigation takes a turn when the 12-year-old daughter of the deceased's fiancée has been a victim of sexual assault for some time. Back at the lab, Sara asks for a 6-month leave, citing that she doesn't feel at ease at work with her co-workers, especially with her boss, Grissom.—Ploy P.
- Grissom is fascinated by the aberrant bullet wound of a corpse he discovered to not originate from the scientific 'body farm'. The victim, Mike Kimble, was the fiancé of divorcée Jane Bradley, whose teenage daughter with Russ Bradley, Jody, was sexually abused. She claims she adored her stepfather, so other abuse suspects are considered. Even her younger brother Jake is questioned, who Nick kindly helps.—KGF Vissers
- When the body of a man is dumped in a body farm, Grissom and his team investigate the case. They find out the victim is a photographer named Mike Kimble, and Catherine and Warrick go to his house to seek out evidence. However, they find the house burning and firemen fighting the fire. They learn from the neighbor that Mike had a fiancée, Jane Bradley, and Catherine and Brass go to her house to interview her. They also interview Jane's ex-husband Russ Bradley, and learn that she called off her wedding with Mike. Meanwhile, Dr. Robbins and Grissom do not find fragments of the bullet in Mike's body but a strange piece of meat instead. When Grissom finds hidden sexy pictures of Jane Bradley's twelve-year old daughter Jody Bradley in Mike's house, the whole Bradley family become suspects of the murder and the arson.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
