Season One, 11 April 2008

Season One of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is honestly quite poor when compared to basically all of the later episodes of the show. Although it contains two memorable and exciting episodes- "Angel" and "Prophecy Girl", it's really mostly a collection of poor or mediocre, and really formulaic (see monster becoming a threat, monster captures/endangers someone Buffy likes or is related to, and Buffy saves the day) episodes that serve no purpose or benefit but to introduce the characters and setting. Luckily, it's only 12 episodes long and the second season was an astronomical improvement.
