There is some contradiction with two earlier episodes by stating that villains shown killed in those stories are actually still alive, for reasons not explained. For example, Corliss and Roxanne from "Return of the Fighting 69th" both perished when their base was bombed. And Kellogg from "Plot to Kill a City" was killed when his ship was destroyed.
In the flashback sequences that are
supposedly memories of Buck, Wilma and Twiki, there are several examples of scenes in which the person remembering the sequence was not present. For example, in Wilma's recollection of certain events from "Return of the Fighting 69th", one of the shots is of a man warning the gunrunners that the next bomb will hit. Wilma wasn't in that room when he said that.
When Buck is recalling events from the episode Unchained Woman (1979), he refers to the prison planet as Zeta Minor. In actuality, the prison planet was only called "Moon 3" in the original episode, and was a penal colony run by the government of the planet Zeta. At no point in the original episode was the name "Zeta Minor" ever used.
Upon receiving the mysterious message, Buck said that he "holds the key to the first and the last" when the message clearly reads "holds the key to the next and the last".
When Dr. Huer inquires about what a crossword puzzle is, Buck tells him that it would take hours to explain them. They would likely take about 5 minutes or less to explain by anyone who has a working knowledge of them.
