Vincent Price discusses a ghost named Kitty Sheehan. In real life, Sheehan was the transvestite proprietor of a self-titled Chicago gay bar that closed in the 1970s.
Ted Knight was originally slated to appear, but he dropped out leaving them high and dry, so the crew scrambled to find a replacement and ultimately booked Vincent Price. Then the musical guest canceled and another couldn't be found on short notice, so they were forced to bring in a popular character from another Krofft show: H.R. Pufnstuf.
An alternate ending exists with less of Greg's ramblings about moving out and various alternate angles and closeups as the cast thanks their guests.
The musical guest backed at the last minute. Scrambling to fill the vacancy, they brought in H.R. Pufnstuf to pantomime to Elton John's song "Celebrate," which was recorded for the puppet show of the same name at The World of Sid & Marty Krofft, the producer's recently-defunct Atlanta theme park.
Vincent Price previously appeared in a two-part episode of The Brady Bunch (1969) in which the family went on a Hawaiian vacation. When he reunited with the cast for this show, Susan Olsen was taken aback that he remembered everyone's names.
