Parts 1 and 3 of this three part cross over were broadcast as part of The Bionic Woman season 2, while part 2 was shown on The Six Million Dollar Man season 4. In syndication and the DVD release, all three installments are part of The Bionic Woman season 2.
Dr. Franklin's name is an obvious tongue-in-cheek reference to the infamous Dr. Frankenstein, and he has also produced grotesque human-like creatures.
In "Kill Oscar: Part III" (1976) - Jaime Sommers (Lindsay Wagner) and Steve Austin (Lee Majors) are aboard a nuclear submarine USS Stingray (SSN-501). "SSN 501" can be seen in shot while Jaime and Steve are on the submarine has a plaque showing that the boat it is "SSN 501". Though fictional for this period in time, the last real USS Stingray was decommissioned following WWII. This same submarine was used one year later in Sharks: Part 1 (1977).
In "Kill Oscar: Part III" (1976) actor Sam Jaffe portrayed high ranking Navy nuclear submarine leader "Admiral Richter" - a character created clearly to resemble the real world person Admiral Hyman G. Rickover (1900-1986.)
In this episode, it's revealed that Oscar Goldman served in the US Navy before his current position as head of OSI. He was Executive Officer to Admiral Richter (played by Sam Jaffee) during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
