Tony stops a guy in a flash car, turns out his father, Litton, had died in police custody. Datta takes a personal interest in a vulnerable old lady.
It's another gritty, solid episode, I'm trying to think if I saw the episode in which Litton had his heart attack, or whether we're just given the information as to the chain of events. Another one where it seems as if the officers are sailing close to the wind as it were.
I'll be glad when Burnside is back in place of DCI Bradby, he's a bit smug.
What a lovely actress Margery Withers was, very good here as Mr Rice, she'd appear in a few episodes of The Bill, I will always remember her in Oranges are not the only fruit.
Pretty good, 7/10.
