I'm sometimes critical of warnings appearing before episodes, it is totally appropriate that one appears prior to this one it really is an unpleasant, sickening watch. 1998 wasn't all that far back, and what seemed normal, commonplace back then, is sickening now.
It's well made, it's well acted, the only thing you can really fault, is the story itself, yes attitudes were different back then, this one may shock and surprise viewers now.
Writer Tom Needham penned a rather bleak story here, I always remember him writing one of my favourite crime dramas, Silent Witness, episode Two Below Zero, it's excellent.
