Whatever happened to thefts on The High Street? More evidence of the show's darker tone, it's yet another murder case, and I have to say it's another very good one.
It's our first introduction to DC Skase, aka Hot Rod, played by Iain Fletcher, a cracking character, he would stay on the show for a good few years. He always reminded me a little of Mike Dashwood.
That Blue Escort van has been in the show before, hard to mistake.
No sign of the regular AMIP team, instead we see Gavin Richards as Detective Super Wells, I'm not sure I'm a fan of him in this part. He clearly doesn't listen.
Two excellent guest actors here Brian Pettifer and Lorraine Ashbourne, the latter seems to have appeared in some of the best crime dramas.
