Between a rock and a hard place.

DI Johnson and DS Pearce are in court giving evidence against two dealers, Social services want to take their daughter, Tasha into care, the trouble is Johnson had struck a deal with the pair.

It's a good episode, it's smart, well written and gritty, it's a very good watch, but in truth it really served as a vehicle to show much of a climber Sally is, donned from head to foot in tweeds, she's not scared to do whatever is necessary to get a result, Jackie has her pretty much spot on.

I think Jaye Griffiths is wonderful, she's got something, the character of Sally Johnson is so interesting, she's far and away the most interesting of the new batch of arrivals. I'm keen to see if there's ever a falling out between her and Polly, it was Page after all that caught her up to no good.

Look out for the wonderful Samantha Spiro, who's here playing a prostitute, she'd be well known for playing Barbara Windsor, you can really see the similarities here, what a great face!

9/10.
