Johnny Risk
Johnny Risk (Michael Landon) is the younger brother of Jed Risk (Lew Ayres.) Johnny looks up to Jed. They practise Judo, they both regularly eat together. Jed taught Johnny to uphold the values of decency, fair play.
In the Alaskan town where they reside. Corruption rears its ugly head. People from foreign lands have staked a claim in the Alaskan gold rush.
Jed has teamed up with the Marshall (DeForest Kelley) and few other to drive out the foreigners, they can no longer stake a valid claim or have holdings in gold mines.
It sets brother against brother. Johnny sides against Jed. Before long Johnny is thrown into jail for illegal gambling. They are trumped up charges for siding with foreigners.
This could easily be the bog standard western. Where the biggest landowner in a corrupt town is driving out the homesteaders.
Well acted by Landon and Ayres. The ending is rather sentimental.
