The Ghost With The Most
sambase-387734 May 2023
Hello. I am new to the show Airwolf. I did not watch it back in the day, but I bought season 2 on DVD recently and have watched the first 3 episodes. Of the 3 I watched I thought this was the best and most interesting.

I'm not going to try and explain the episode because it's actually very complicated and I don't feel like writing that much. I'll just say that it was pretty cool how the helicopter was turned into an enemy by a mad genius. And it was all triggered after his death. That's not a spoiler we learn very early on that he is dead.

The computer expert who tries to solve the problem is a woman and I thought that was cool. Typically TV shows have men be the smart experts. But she was smart and beautiful.

As I said I'm new to this show so I have a lot more episodes to watch. But I think most people would enjoy this episode, especially if you want a show from the 80's with a helicopter. It was fun.

The best Season 2 episode of Airwolf
mattstevens17 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
One has to rate these episodes for the time in which they came from. AIRWOLF is dated now, but back then it was The Bomb. I remember being absolutely enthralled and blown away by the episode when it first aired. I was probably 13 at the time. As I write this review I am 48. Yikes!

Having just watched it on Blu-Ray I do think it holds up well. Much has changed with how television is produced so at times the story telling techniques and production values feel dated, but it still succeeds in being a strong and suspenseful episode. The show's weak point was the fact that Airwolf was always going to blow away the enemy. Guns, missiles, speed, whatever. Enemy firepower was not a threat so it could get repetitive. But a rogue program from a maniac forcing Airworlf to shut down? Yes, that's a problem. Flying to the upper edges of the atmosphere, decompressing and falling out of the sky to freeze him out? That's awesome.

It helps that the music in this episode was incredible and leading man Jan-Michael was not yet falling over drunk on-set.

Moffett's Ghost
Prismark109 March 2019
The late Dr Moffett returns. He is on video with his last will and testament. If he does not get into contact with Airwolf, the super helicopter will get a virus and it will behave erratically.

Hawke is also at risk of his latest mission going wrong. He is taking a US researcher covertly to Russia and then later retrieve him.

Hawke has to get an expert engineer to somehow get rid of Moffet's virus but it is no easy task.

This really is not a great episode. Having Moffett onscreen at regular intervals coming out with the same line quickly gets irritating.

The whole episode is a little lame. Airwolf just needs a system reboot.

Well watchable!
mm-3911 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Watchable the second season became a little less on the big budget, but formulated. Airwolf solves a mystery in a town etc. Well Moffett's Ghost has the same formula with a different twist. Airwolf has to bus a scientist of a secret mission into the U S S R and back. But and there is a big but here there is a computer virus in Airwolf. Big for a show done in 1984. A back door, time triggered virus. If a code is not added we a out of controlled virus. Airwolf can not go to the firm but uses a female private contractor to remove the virus which creates a little romantic tension. Will the scientist be saved or does Airwolf goes bonkers? Well a bit of both. Entertaining episode. 5 stars
