The newspaper headline reads famous psychiatrist believed a suicide. Clark suspects Madam Selena and he and Lois visit the Dawn's at their museum. It does not go well. Lois is not without suspicion as Madame says she is not a fortune teller according to the Daily Planet. Her melodramatic voice stating her recent predictions is off-putting to the two reporters. Lois questions Madame hearing a voice to make her predictions, and Lois manages to tweak a nerve just the same. Madame offers her hand to Clark, which he shakes, but no offer to Lois, as a gesture of contempt. Madame lets out a sarcastic laugh, a mean chortle after the reporters exit, while her husband looks on with anxiety at her actions. Clark notes to Lois the three deaths were to men about the same size and weight as Andrew, Madame's husband, when Perry comes into Kent's office with invitations to Madame Selena's for Lois and Clark, adding, he got one, too. Madame announces her latest vision as Perry White, he erupts in anger calling her a fraud, back at the office, he refuses the suggestion of a bodyguard. That night Clark gets a call from Inspector Henderson, get down here with Lois asap, somethings happened. Henderson says Perry died, a patrolman saw him jump off the pier, and he had Perry's shoes at his desk. While Lois weeps in sorrow Clark is beside himself with still too many questions concerning all of these suicides. Clark says all the suicides occurred on the same pier and none of the bodies were recovered. Clark heads down to the pier with Henderson and Lois goes to the museum at closing time, sneaking around, as a display moves revealing Madame coming from a secret cellar entrance. Selena tells Andrew the private museum has room for three more, while Lois enters the trapdoor basement where Selena just emerged. Lois knocks over a table of sculptors while in the dark, low and behold, Lois finds the suicide victims including Mr. White, dazed, possibly drugged, but alive. Selena hears the noise, comes down with Andrew, finds Lois, chloroforms her, puts her in a cell among the others. Clark is at the pier with Henderson claiming Andrew could have impersonated the prisoners as he points out a ledge underneath the pier with a rope used to climb out of the water. Through masks made of the cellar prisoners, Andrew could have impersonated each of the victims. Clark talks Henderson into returning to the museum for another look at the whole operation Madame and her husband are running. Madame is cackling over her private her museum pieces and is proud of her success. Andrew hears the police at the door, both Dawn's come up from the cellar, Andrew answers the door, the Inspector follows him his quarters while Clark ducts and changes. Superman hurries to the cellar to bend the cell bars freeing Lois first and all others. Andrew shoots Superman, who in turn knocks Andrew out, hands Selena to Henderson, freeing the remaining prisoners. The Planet headlines read Five Suicides Found Alive, White is happy to be free, twenty years for Dawn charged with abduction.
