Uncle Bozzo
JordanThomasHall2 August 2019
Bud has won enough money at the racetrack to pay off their back rent, and a month in advance. He also bought Lou's gold pocket watch back from the pawn shop and had $20 left to open a joint account at the bank. Lou's Uncle Bozzo (Fortunio Bonanova) arrives from Italy owing a cab driver $19.60. Thus ends their bank savings. Uncle Bozzo vows to rest a couple months and make their money back, being a powerful operatic singer. Mr. Fields charges an additional $15 rent for an extra border, taking Lou's pocket watch for the money. Bud, Lou, and Uncle Bozzo have comical complications sharing a small bed. They next day they buy another bed from Finkle's 2nd Hand Store. In pushing the bed back to the apartment house, Lou falls into an open manhole. He's comically pulled out and knocks over Mike the Cop who hauls them to jail. Bud and Uncle Bozzo are placed together. Lou is housed with Slug (Uncle Bozzo), a gruff criminal who becomes enraged when he hears the operatic "'O sole mio"- (a variation of the "Niagara Falls" routine). Uncle Bozzo is determined to keep his voice strong... with a rousing selection of "'O sole mio". A breakout is planned.

There's some great situational comedy and lines in this hilarious episode.
