Definitely worth watching......, 11 December 2005
7/10
Author: bob-deniro from United Kingdom

This was on Channel 5 tonight (sunday), and I thought it was really good. It was in the classic tradition of British wedding comedy/dramas, and has all the good bits of Four Weddings and a Funeral without the slushy sentimentality. While it is very funny, it was quite serious and dramatic at times, and was all the better for it. It basically focuses on a group of friends who come together for a wedding, but everything is thrown into limbo when an ex of the bride- to-be shows up. Subsequently, all manner of hilarious and harrowing incidents ensue.

The cast was in this was excellent, most notably Tom Goodman-Hill (the ginger one from Spoons, who also appeared in a few episodes of The Office as Ray, the guy who recruits David Brent as a motivational speaker) and Claire Keelan (who is great in Nathan Barley). But its worth it just for the totally inappropriate best man (not sure of his name), who gets a bit of a surprise when he unwittingly attempts to seduce a girl at the wedding. All in all, it's definitely worth a look. Hopefully it'll be shown again or released on DVD.
