Production wraps this weekend on Toby MacDonald’s under-the-radar coming-of-age feature debut, which has been filming in locations across Sussex, UK.
Also starring are Jonah Hauer-King, currently filming opposite Bel Powley in Ashes In The Snow, Denis Ménochet (Inglourious Basterds) and Joshua McGuire (Mr. Turner).
Inspired by Edmond Rostand’s classic Cyrano de Bergerac story, the film is written by The Bad Education Movie co-writer Freddy Syborn and is produced by first-timer Luke Morris.

Wilco fans better start saving their money. The veteran rockers are celebrating their 20th anniversary, and Jeff Tweedy and co. have plenty of celebrations planned. First and foremost will be the release of the 4-cd boxset "Alpha Mike Foxtrot," which will include 77 rare studio and live tracks, including demos, cover songs and Tweedy solo tunes. The 4-lp version features fewer songs. For the more casual Wilco listeners, they're also releasing their first greatest hits collection, a 2-cd set titled "What’s Your 20." It features such fan favorites as "Passenger Side," "California Stars," "A Shot in the Arm," "Heavy Metal Drummer" and "Wilco (the Song)." You can get the details and pre-order both collections here. Wilco will also be playing a residency (dubbed the Wilco Winterlude) in their hometown of Chicago, where they'll perform at Riviera Theatre on December 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12. They're promising a different setlist for each peformance. Both "Alpha...

Starring Lizzy Caplan, Alison Brie, Martin Starr, Mark Webber, and Melonie Diaz, among others, Lakeshore Records will release the original soundtrack to the IFC Films feature "Save the Date" digitally on November 6th and physically on November 20th. Featuring twelve tracks, including Wilco's sunny "Heavy Metal Drummer" cut from their celebrated 2001 album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, the soundtrack features a seminal electro song from the pioneer of disco Giorgio Moroder ("Baby Blue"), plus songs by ambient electro-folk post-rocker The One Am Radio (and a cut under his real name Hrishikesh Hirway), lush bliss-pop band Houses, R&B comeback story Charles Bradley, Wolfbird, Brooklyn-based synthpop trio Class Actress, L.A. soul revivalist Nick Waterhouse, White Dress frontwoman Arum Rae and more. Directed by Michael Mohan ("One Too Many Mornings"), "Save the Date" is a...

Was it worth the wait for Wilco? The answer is on the way, guaranteed to arrive a lot sooner than the band's next scheduled visit to Denver.
One of America's finest and hardest-working alternative rock/country acts is back on the road this month, resuming their tour in support of their Grammy-nominated 2011 album, The Whole Love.
The first stop of the 2012 leg that began 10 consecutive sold-out dates was the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver on January 19. For frontman Jeff Tweedy, it had a familiar, uh, smell to it.
With the emphasis on playing rock idol instead of making idle chatter, Tweedy (right) finally addressed the sellout crowd seven tunes into the lively, 26-song set.
"Hey! How's it going?" he asked, seemingly relaxed but reserved. "Is pot legal here? Sort of? Somewhat? It smells legal. It smells very legal."
The smoke signals were evident in a state where medical-marijuana dispensaries have flourished...

Today is not only the anniversary of the debut of New Coke, but there are also a handful of musical events that happened today. The Ramones released their self-titled debut album (featuring staples like "Blitzkrieg Bop," "Judy Is a Punk" and "Beat on the Brat") on April 23, 1976, beginning an incredible run of excellent albums, killer live shows and a game-changing approach to American rock music. Many people love Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols and cite it as a vital piece of punk rock history (and it is), but the Ramones first album (combined with Leave Home, Rocket to Russia and Road to Ruin, all of which hit by 1978) is an incredibly vital piece of rock history whose effects are still being felt.
Today is also the anniversary of the release of another classic album: Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, one of the finest albums of the new century...
