Unbreakable Thoughts

Unbreakable was a PPV event produced by TNA that took place September 11, 2005 at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. The event was part of the buildup to the Flagship PPV of Bound for Glory and with 9 matches taking place.

This event was also remembered for holding a rare 5 Star main event match by Dave Meltzer and is currently the only 5 star match by WON in history. Of course many of us know TNA has had other outstanding matches too but Dave Meltzer was known for always hating TNA. Was this show and the main event spectacular?

The Good - The card was pretty strong and the crowd was hyped for every match on set. Of course the question "is the main event still an all time great"? Absolutely!! It still was amazing and is probably TNA's most memorable match in history and one of the best 3 way matches in pro wrestling history. Styles/Joe/Daniels were outstanding. I also loved the Austin Ares and Roderick Strong match as both were very good new comers. I also liked the hardcore match between Sabu and Abyss. Hardcore matches have always been mixed. Some love them, some hate them. I enjoy them. The title matches were good too. The aftermath of what was to come of them weeks later was more interesting to think of after the match. The atmosphere for the show was also good. Sometimes it was hard to feel the atmosphere from crowds of TNA events due to them hardly being in arenas.

The Meh - 2 weakest matches were not bad but were just random fillers for the card. Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode was really just to set Hardy for another feud as he was out for 4 months (suspension). The opening was also okay but felt like a typical warm up. We also didn't need 2 hardcore matches and interfering was an annoying habit through out this night.

The Bad - Not downright horrible thing to point out for this show honestly.

Overrall - Is it one of best TNA PPVs in history? No. But it was an exciting show and they most importantly kept everyone entertained through out the night. The main event was absolutely outstanding and something to rewatch again. No bad or Lackluster match also boosted this show in a big way.

Score - 8 out of 10: Really Really Good

0 = Terrible : 1 = Bad/Lackluster : 2 = Decent : 3 = Good : 4 = Awesome : 5 = One of the Best of all Time :

1. 3 Live Kru vs. Diamonds in the Rough - 2/5

2. Austin Ares vs. Roderick Strong - 3.5/5

3. Kip James & Monty Brown vs. Apolo & Lance Hoyt - 2.5/5

4. Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin - 3.5/5

5. Abyss vs. Sabu (No DQ) - 3.5/5

6. Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode - 2/5

7. The Naturals vs. Alex Shelly & Johnny Candido vs. America's Most Wanted vs. Team Canada: NWA World Tag Team Championship (Elimination Match) - 3/5

8. Raven vs. Rhino: NWA World Heavyweight Championship (Raven Rules Match) - 3/5

9. AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe: TNA X Division Championship - 5/5

Best Match - AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe (of course)

Worst Match - 3 Live Kru vs. Diamonds in the Rough. Was a decent match itself.

Most Memorable Moment - That's too tough. The Triple Threat spots were all evenly great.

Top 5 Performers

1. AJ Styles - Outstanding Performance

2. Samoa Joe - Outstanding Performance

3. Christopher Daniels - Outstanding Performance

4. Austin Ares - Good Performance

5. Roderick Strong - Good Performance.
