Sex & Nudity

  • In an early scene, Alan is seen sitting in front of a laptop. It's easily overlooked, but bare breasts as well as a naked backside can be seen reflected in his glasses.
  • Some innuendo as shown in the trailer Alan ill-phrases his situation "pat's tugging me off".
  • Other mild/moderate sexual references scattered throughout.
  • In one scene, Alan's bottom is visible as he waddles about with his genitals tucked between his legs.

Violence & Gore

  • A character is hit with a fire extinguisher and we soon see him with a bleeding nose.
  • A character throws another character into a glass window. The window doesn't break but he's knocked out for 5-10 minutes.
  • In a dream sequence, a character is being chased. This character suddenly bumps into a policeman and the policeman shoots the chasing character in the shoulder.
  • A character is shocked with a taser by another character.

  • A character uses a racist slur to refer to a Chinese takeaway (She says 'C----y').

  • The scene where Pat is about to commit suicide can be quite upsetting but Alan does stop him.

  • Alan and Angela kiss in the bathroom and sex is implied although it is later revealed that apart from "a ruddy big kiss" and a "hand on the outside of the bra" Alan simply "held her"

Violence & Gore

  • Michael the Geordie throws himself in the sea as a distraction. We hear that he was never found again.
  • Alan accidentally shoots himself in the foot and then another man shoots him in the shoulder. He doesn't die.
