Out to eat am I, but I also Have to write a Starblog with dinner. And it amuses me (if not others) to recount past meals I’ve had that were sort of far-out to eat. Or as the topic title I’ve assigned myself declares: Seven Meals to Doomsday!
Our cuisine criteria: I had to be at the table (sometimes semi-against my will), pop culture should be involved and there must be some Surreal aspect to it all. How good the food is—well, that hardly matters. It’s not the vittles; it’s the experience.
#1) Bethany College, Bethany, West Virginia, 1976 or ’77. CBS (and later NBC) newscaster Roger Mudd has come to our small college of distinction to give a lecture. We’re going to feed him, too, and I (as one of Communications Department Chairman James Carty’s pet students) have been drafted to attend that small dinner in the cafeteria rear.

The main story that's keeping Brothers and Sisters going this season is Kitty's cancer, since the Walkers are dreadfully worried about it. Still, it's what's keeping them together even more. That's particularly evident tonight on "Almost Normal," as a surprise guest makes a visit that will help ease the pain of the family.
On the new episode of Brothers and Sisters, Robert (Rob Lowe) deals with the family's reaction when he dwells more on the condition of his wife. Despite the joy they all shared at the engagement of Justin (Dave Annable) to Rebecca (Emily VanCamp), there's still some bad news to tell.

Kitty Walker has cancer.
The Brothers & Sisters character was diagnosed with Lymphoma last week, but only her mother is aware of the disease as we head into Sunday's all-new episode, "Almost Normal."
That may change by the time the episode concludes, but the cancer is still a mystery when Kitty joins Rebecca for some wedding dress shopping early in the hour.
Viewers know why Kitty is acting so sentimental, but in the clip below, Rebecca has no idea.

In the middle of all the happiness surrounding Rebecca and Justin's imminent wedding, one painful truth must be delivered. Next week on "Brothers & Sisters", Kitty, Robert and Nora struggle to accept Kitty's cancer and to come to an agreement on the best possible treatment.
Nora plans to gather the big family so that Kitty can tell all of them. But as they prepare to share the news with the entire family, a surprise visitor from afar makes the burden a bit easier to bear. The episode which is called "Almost Normal" is scheduled to air on Sunday, October 11 at 10/9c.
On another news, Gilles Marini will come to the show in the October 18 episode called "From France with Love". He plays Luc Laurent, the French lover of Sarah who distracts Kitty from her chemo treatment with her romance stories.
