- Some sensual dancing and minor kissing throughout.
- A teenaged girl auditions a bunch of guys for a dance routine in a midriff-baring top and very short shorts. Part of the routine entails her partner catching and lifting her, meaning he would touch her exposed skin, which some may find questionable.
- A teenaged guy puts his foot in his mouth when describing how he enjoys playing music, saying "I like to play, alright? I just prefer to play with myself." His friend reacts, "Whoa, what?"
- A young boy remarks about a guy's muscles looking nice. His brother reacts negatively and says that they need to get him a girl fast. Another guy tells the boy, "Don't touch me!"
- In the opening scene, ballet dancers are dancing while music is playing with the lyrics, "Show off that body you got."

- A man shoves a young man, they fight with punches and shoving, one of them pulls a gun and the other runs away.
- A security guard grabs a young man and pins him to the floor.
- A young man breaks the window of a building, and with two others he climbs into the building and breaks up a decorated stage.

- A young man sprains his ankle during dance practice and we see him bandaged and on crutches.
- A young woman auditions young men for a dance partner position, she attempts to jump for them to catch her and they move out of the way or drop her repeatedly (no one is injured).

- At a concert, a singer is heard describing a girl as "hotter than sh..." without finishing the swear word.

- A young man and a young woman argue and yell at each other.
- Three young men steal cars and sell them to another man. Scenes with main characters in stolen cars. A boy tries to steal a car, an alarm sounds, and he is startled and runs away.

- A boy is shot three times in the chest: he lies on the street, we see blood on his shirt and we see people grieving at his funeral.

- One young boy dies after getting shot by a gang member in a drive by shooting. Very intense and very sad.
