What do you get when you cross bio-engineering, strippers, deadly fish, gold-flake cinnamon drank, and lovable losers? You get awesome, is what you get. This particular serving of awesome is called 'Piranha Sharks', and it comes to you from the mind of one Leigh Scott. Sigh. Yes, 'Transmorphers' Leigh Scott. No, this is not 'Transmorphers'. Relax.
Piranha Sharks are bio-engineered creatures, that are repackaged, and targeted towards kids, as the year's hot new Christmas item. However, when the animals make their way into the New York water system, it falls on Jackson (Collin Galyean), and his pest-killing buddies (John Wells, and Josh Hammond) to get rid of them, before they destroy the city.
The writing works first, to set this film apart. It takes a shot at many of the cheesy indie cliches, with hilarious class, and accuracy.

Here's an interesting little tidbit that's begun floating around the Dread Central offices. Machinima, the fine folks who brought us Mortal Kombat: Legacy, are in the midst of cooking up a web series based on the popular Borderlands video game.
From what we hear, the series is based on the world presented in Borderlands 2. We also hear that one of the game's most notorious characters, Handsome Jack, has already been cast and will be played by Joel Hebner (pictured; Frankenstein Reborn, Automaton Transfusion).
Again, this is just something that's been brought to our attention, and we'll file it under rumor for now. If it does come to fruition, though, you read it here first!
Borderlands 2 is set five years after the events of Borderlands and tells the tale of four Vault Hunters: Roland, Lilith, Mordecai, and Brick, who are guided by a mysterious entity known as "The Guardian Angel" to the Vault,...

Eliza Swenson is my latest super crush! I just put that on out there didn't I. She is a force to be reckoned with for sure! She not only acts but she also writes, edits, produces and even composes her own music! She's been involved in some fan favorite films like Dracula's Curse, Frankenstein Reborn and Supercroc and she has some highly anticipated projects coming our way soon which include Legend of the Red Reaper and The Witches of Oz. Check out my latest "Versus" with the very beautiful and super cool Eliza Swenson.
Brian S- You graduated Byu with a music major. How did you get into film?
Es- Music has always been a natural love and passion, but acting crept up on me. I guess I would have noticed it sooner if music hadn’t been so pronounced. I also just figured that majoring in music would teach me more: music theory,...

Maybe this will help us get the taste of 'Tin Man' out of our mouths. Finally.
Not since 1987's made-for-tv Return to Oz have I been this excited about an Oz film. Let's face it - the original musical 1939 version with Judy Garland reduced the menacing, opium-induced political propaganda originally created by L. Frank Baum to so much MGM glitter and Oscar romance. But Fairuza Balk's first starring role, as Dorothy Gale who returns to Oz to face an evil Nome King, a headless princess, wheeled human punk rockers who chase you through the streets of the broken Emerald City, and talking chickens, was awesome. And since then?
Just more gibberish in musical form and a really bad made-for-tv SyFy Channel Dorothy movie that I think we'd rather all forget.
But now comes The Witches of Oz, directed by Leigh Scott (he of the many many many...
