20th Century Fox has released first ever hi-res photos from “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” on the official Facebook page for the Narnia.
In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Lucy and Edmund Pevensie (Georgie Henley and Skandar Keynes) return to Narnia when they are pulled through a picture of a ship onto the Dawn Treader, a ship belonging to Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes). On a mission to find the Seven Lost Lords, Caspian, Edmund, Lucy and their cousin Eustace Scrubb travel through Narnia, going on several adventures along the way.
The film, which has found itself a new home at Fox since Disney dropped the option, is being directed by Michael Apted (Thunderheart, The World Is Not Enough, Amazing Grace).
“The Chronicles of Narnia 3″ hits theaters on December 10th, 2010.

Its been a while since we have heard much about the world of Narnia. Studio executives screwing with the script, studios buying and selling the property. Nothing much exciting and or positive has hit the feeds until now. We have three new photos from Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader for your Black Friday enjoyment. While nothing ground break or even stunning, they are what they are. First photos from the upcoming Narnia film.
Seen in the below photos are Ben Barnes as King Caspian and Skandar Keynes as Edmund Pevensie. Also Georgie Henley as Lucy Pevensie on the Dawn Treader as well. And if you can’t figure out that is the helm of the ship, well I will leave you to your own business.
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is being directed by British filmmaker Michael Apted (The World Is Not Enough, Amazing Grace) and

Sure, Rachel McAdams has denied being cast in Spider-Man 4 as Black Cat, and Sony Pictures calls the web reports mearly "internet rumor", but that doesn't mean there isn't a bit of truth to the story.
Ugo has learned that Julia Stiles has met with a casting company in New York City to discuss joining Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4, and we're pretty confident the role is still that of Peter Parker's love interest/antagnonist Black Cat.
Last week we also found out Sony had put out a casting call for a new female lead for the fourth Spider-Man film, and that Romola Garai (Amazing Grace, The Other Man) has auditioned for the role. Garai, McAdams, and Stiles all fall into the near 30-year-old age range, and have a similar look. You might also remember that a new source confirmed that Black Cat is in the screenplay, but the character

Bullplop? More potential casting news for Spider-man 4: Rachel McAdams as Black Cat

Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, Wedding Crashers) and Romola Garai (Amazing Grace) are reportedly in talks to play the superheroine Black Cat in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4.
30-year-old McAdams appears to be the front-runner for the part of Felicia Hardy, a former girlfriend of Peter Parker (you sly fictional dog) who is an accomplished cat burglar…hence the name Black Cat.
In the comics, the cleavage happy Black Cat has always been a bit of a mercenary who walks the fine on legalities. She’s also jonesing for some Spidey.
Here’s a juicy morsel from Comicvine.com:
Felicia Hardy is often seen as a woman obsessed with Spider-Man always trying to keep his affection. For example she once set up Spider-Man to be caught red-handed so he could become an outlaw and live forever with her. She is also superficial, asking Parker to put his mask back on as

New Female Lead Confirmed For Spider-Man 4, Romola Garai Auditioned… But Is It Black Cat?

Earlier today a rumor broke that Rachel McAdams is in talks to join Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 as the anti-hero/love conflict Black Cat. We didn't know if this was true, or just another one of the countless internet superhero rumors. I still can't confirm the validity of the story, but a /Film reader named Ambrose H forwarded me a link that at least confirms two parts of the story:
Sam Raimi and Co are already casting the feature
They are looking for a new female lead
Not only that, but Romola Garai has auditioned for the role. Garai is a 27-year-old British actress who starred in Amazing Grace, The Other Man and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.
In the latst issue of The Observer, Garai shared the details about what she was up to last week, which included a video audition for the latest Spidey:

tMF Oscarwatch: The Young Victoria disappoints...?

Is this Emily Blunt's year? I really hope so... Even though this is also the year fellow British actress Carey Mulligan (via An Education) made her magnificent acting known outside of the UK. So how was Blunt's acting as the young Victoria? Is the movie Oscar-worthy? Is her performance Oscar-worthy? Says Empire:
An elegant, entertaining, informative picture with a gallery of vivid supporting turns, this provisionally crowns the winning Blunt as a Brit-pic star - but it skimps a bit on the bodice-ripping, blood and thunder.

A more generous review from Digital Spy follows:
There's something about donning a Queen's crown that brings out the best in actresses. Cate Blanchett, Helen Mirren and Judi Dench have thrived as monarchs, and now it's the turn of Emily Blunt to take on an iconic British ruler. Blaming her "sly eyes" for constantly being cast as bad girls,

Ioan Gruffudd Going Back In Time Again

I'll never understand why studios want to make biopics about writers. Sure some of them, like Ernest Hemingway, lived exciting lives in their own right, bullfighting and drinking heavily and whatnot. But writers write, a task that is boring both to watch and, mostly, to do (says the girl who has been sitting at her laptop since 8 a.m.)
And yet, here comes another biopic about an esteemed English writer, this one Wind in the WIllows author Kenneth Grahame. Ioan Gruffudd, best known for the Fantastic Four movies, is in negotiations to star as Grahame, with Samantha Morton as his wife, according to Variety.
Gruffudd reecently played another somewhat obscure figure from British history, abolitionist William WIlberforce, in Amazing Grace. Apparently someone was really paying attention in history class.
