  • Crew or equipment visible: In the scene where Cam ejects the roof of the car, in the back you can see the police escorts lights flashing.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Chuck is playing Xbox 360, you can see the controller is not on. There is a green light in the center of the controller that comes on when the controller is "connected." The Xbox sitting under the TV is also not on because you would see the green lights.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Cam's speech about penguin mating rituals pertains to Emperor Penguins. All the penguins in her habitat are Gentoo or Chinstrap penguins. Both which have mating rituals that involve nests of stones and shared incubation duties not the months-long endurance trial that Emperor males have to go through.

  • Continuity: When Cam walks into the metal post she hits it with one side of her face. After she falls down and Chuck comes to help her, Cam is rubbing her hand on the wrong side of her face.

  • Factual errors: The Penguins that Cam works with are African Penguins, also known as Jackass Penguins. They do not live in Antarctica or in cold weather at all. They are only found on the coast of South Africa and Namibia. So, they would not be shown in a habitat with fake ice. They are warm weather birds.

  • Continuity: When Charlie first sees Cam, the color of the liquid in the glass on the tray turns from red to clear.

  • Factual errors: In the scene where they jump start her car, you can't do this with a Prius. It is a Hybrid vehicle employing the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive. The car's internal combustion engine does not even start until the vehicle is already moving under electric power only.

  • Errors in geography: All the cars have Washington License plates indicating they are in the US. Charlie's apartment thermostat reads in degrees Celsius. The U.S. uses the Fahrenheit scale.

  • Errors in geography: All the cars have Washington state plates indicating that they are located in the US, but at certain points in the film Vancouver, BC landmarks, transit buses and major streets can be seen in the background giving away that part of the film was shot in Vancouver.

  • Factual errors: Lucy could have never gotten locked out of her car. She drives a Prius, which uses a special set of car keys which makes it impossible for the car to lock when the keys are inside, considering whenever the keys are in the vicinity of the Prius the vehicle automatically unlocks. Thus there would be no reason for her to drive home and get her spare set of keys, since the car wouldn't have locked itself in the first place.

  • Continuity: In the scene where Cam is assisted by Charlie to jump her car and locks the keys in the car. Charlie drives her home to grab her extra pair of keys, when they return, the car is off and the remote on the extra pair of keys allows her to unlock the car. The car was left on when they left because she could not get back into the car. In addition, Toyotas will not work with the remote if the car is in the on position.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Cam removes the jumper cables from her car, she puts the cable ends together while the other side is still connected to Charlie's car. This would cause some sparks or a shock.

  • Continuity: Charlie is told that the only flights are on first class, however when he boards the plane, the cabin in which Lucy is seated is not first class.

>>> WARNING: Here Be Spoilers <<<

Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.

  • Factual errors: SPOILER: Chuck couldn't casually book an air ticket to Antarctica as he did in the movie. The only way to fly to Antarctica from the United Stares is to prebook a flight through a charter service or a paramilitary organization such as the New York Air National Guard. And even if he did he would never make the connecting flight to Antarctica because he would never pass a strict gear check.

  • Factual errors: SPOILER: Cam only going to Antarctica for a week is ludicrous for a low ranking researcher. Flying back and forth would take at least a week. A typical stay for a researcher at Antartica is at least six months because the window of opportunity for planes to land there is very short.
