  • Continuity: During the contest at the end, each family's score is displayed on a large board. When the tie-breaker is being discussed, the scores are gone. When the group leaves for the canoe race, the scores have returned.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Tom Baker comes onto the dock after water skiing, you hear the kids in the boat talking to him, but their mouths aren't moving.

  • Continuity: When the Bakers and the Murtaughs are in the room after the fireworks exploded, the same guy in the blue shirt walks behind Kate in two different shots.

  • Continuity: At the end of the movie, the blanket is alternately on/off the baby's head between shots.

  • Continuity: When Charlie is having his picture drawn, he is turned to the right, and his left side is being drawn. When the picture is done, it shows his right side.

  • Boom mic visible: When Tom and Kate come out of the tent in the morning after camping out, you can see the shadow of the boom mic against the rock.

  • Continuity: When Kate Baker gets orange juice dumped all over her, the shirt is absolutely drenched. When they cut back to her walking off to get a new shirt with Sarina Murtaugh, there is barely any orange juice on her, with the exception of a small amount around her stomach.

  • Continuity: When Tom is introduced to Nora's baby, he walks into the room and the camera zooms into his face. In the very next shot, the room is filled with the Bakers and Murtaughs, as though they had been there the whole time.

  • Continuity: In some shots, the Boulders and all of the water toys appear to be at least a quarter of a mile across the lake. In other shots, the lake appears to be only several yards wide.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Tom, Kyle and Nigel are leaving to compete for the Labor Day Cup, the leaf netting from the lighting effect is visible on the cabin porch.

  • Continuity: When Lorraine walks back to the table, after Sarah tells Lorraine to leave her alone, Tom is turned all the way to his right. In the next shot, he is turned to his left.

  • Continuity: After Tom reveals Sarah's interest in Elliot, when Lorraine walks by vowing never to help Sarah again, Bud holds a burger in his right hand and a plate with a hot dog on it in his left. Next shot he's eating a hot dog with his right hand, while holding a burger with his left.

  • Continuity: When Kate is slicing tomatoes and is talking to Tom, she alternately holds a knife and a piece of tomato between shots. The distance between the knife and the cutting board changes in each shot.

  • Continuity: When Anne is scared by Charlie, in the gazebo, she dries herself off with a towel, throws it to the floor then she dresses, and they walk to the bench. In the next shot you can see the towel is now hanging up over the side of the gazebo.

  • Continuity: When the Bakers and the Murtaughs are having the campfire singing contest, Tom is looking across the lake at the Murtaughs and his hair is slightly messy. When he turns back to his family in the next shot, his hair is neatly combed.

  • Continuity: When Anne finishes drawing her portrait of Charlie, outside near the gazebo, her pencil immediately jumps onto the table without her putting it down.

  • Continuity: When Nora's water breaks on the canoe, they take her to the river bank. Kate unclips her life-jacket in one shot but all the clips are done up in the next shot.

  • Continuity: Sarina's drink swaps hands as she sits down at the table on the decking.

  • Continuity: When Tom and Kate are looking at the photo album by the bed, at the start of the film, the pages they are looking at are inconsistent from each shot, evident by the suddenly changing photos.

  • Continuity: When the dog bounds underneath the long dining table, in following shots the remaining shattered glass and china changes position and amount, and the cloths, plates etc. all change position as they lay on the table.

  • Continuity: After Tom says he thinks Elliot is OK for Sarah, the ketchup bottle standing beside the mustard bottle vanishes then reappears between shots.

  • Continuity: When Tom joins Sarah and Elliot for the knee-boarding, after Sarah apologizes for Tom's interrogation Eliot says, "It's okay, my dad would've done the same thing." Two shots later, as Tom grunts in the water, this shot is flipped - the driver is now on the left and the kids switched sides.

  • Continuity: When Kenneth and Mark run over to the golf buggy, as they talk the position of the chinstrap hanging down from Mark's hat keeps changing from hanging down/hanging over his shoulder.

  • Continuity: After showing Sarah with a makeover, Lorraine's shoes change from flats to heels.

  • Continuity: During the tennis match, Jimmy's and Sarina's long shadows are to their right, yet, Tom's and Kate's short shadows are also to their right, though the couples face each other on the court.

  • Continuity: Sarina is not wearing shorts in the canoe. When they get to shore, she is wearing shorts.

  • Continuity: When Tom asks Sarah to play a trick on Mr. Murtaugh, and Charlie spills juice on his mother, the trees in the background alternate between dark and light between shots.

  • Continuity: When Mr Murtaugh and his wife are saying goodbye to the Bakers after the party, Mrs Murtaugh is dirty and her hair is tousled and covered in grass. The scene in which this happened, in which the dog pushed her down a hill, was cut.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Mr. Murtaugh and Mr. Baker are log-rolling during the Labor Day cup competition, wires are visible in some shots helping them keep their balance.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: When the Murtaughs are singing during the camp out, their lips are not completely synchronized with the audio.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): In the end of the movie, the baby is placed in the car seat forward facing. At that age it should be rear facing, otherwise it is dangerous for the child.

  • Revealing mistakes: In almost every shot, a nude-colored leotard is peeking through Nora's clothes, a sign that she's wearing a fake belly.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Tom sees Mr. Murtagh at the movie theater while their kids are watching Ice Age, Mr. Murtagh says he wants to see that the movie was appropriate for their kids. Tom says it's rated G. Ice Age is actually rated PG.

  • Continuity: Nora's water breaks in the canoe, but her pants stay dry.

  • Continuity: When Becky Murtaugh jumps out of the boat after Nora's water breaks, the shot looking at her shows an empty boat behind her. When we see her from the side, the boat is still full of Murtaughs.

  • Continuity: When the Baker kids are speaking to the chef at the clam bake, he has a clam puff in his tongs when the kids insult him and then no clam puff is visible in his tongs in the next shot.

  • Continuity: In the theater scene, in some parts of Ice Age, it starts on the scene where Diego goes back to the humans. Then when Tom goes into the theater, the sound plays the part at the beginning, and then when Tom sits down with Jimmy, some parts of the movie repeats, and then in some other parts of the movie, it plays out of order again.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: After knee boarding Tom gets out of the boat and the two boys both say something but their mouths never move.

  • Anachronisms: The movie Sarah and Elliot are watching is the first Ice Age, released in 2002, but when Tom buys a ticket for the film, you can clearly see a Napoleon Dynamite poster, a film released two years after Ice Age's initial release.

  • Anachronisms: Sara sees the film Ice Age (2002) for her date. A Napoleon Dynamite (2004) poster is seen. Both films are were released 2 years apart.
