In the script, there is a line that says "The big battle starts and ends". Although the line is only 6 words long, the battle rages on for over 15 minutes in the movie. Writer Russell Clay had every punch written in a spiral notebook that no one else saw until the shoot day on the set.

When one of the cast could not make it to the set, cinematographer Steve Wargo stepped in to take his place. He plays the part of Marshall Hogg. The irony is that Wargo, a biker for over 40 years, has the word "HOGG" tattooed inside his lower lip, a tattoo he has had since 1971.
