The story is about a team of trained secret agent guinea pigs that takes on a mission for the US government. A specially trained squad of guinea pigs is dispatched to stop a diabolical billionaire, who plans to taking over the world with household appliances.

For the Digital 3D presentation, the film was projected in 1.85:1 aspect ratio, with the original 2.39:1 (Cinemascope) aspect ratio letter-boxed. This allowed objects to move beyond the normal frame boundaries and (in theory) enhance the 3D depth effect.

When Hurley and Darwin are attacked by the coffee maker, the coffee maker shoots a blade that cuts off Hurley's hair. In the next scene on the sidewalk, his hair is back to the original length.
