A beautifully filmed and yet unfussy and direct account of the impact of landmines and unexploded ordnance in Vietnam. The issue is explored through a variety of individuals especially Lai a young Vietnamese boy. Well filmed, edited and scripted this is an excellent piece and introduction to the issue. Lai's individual story and that of a young Iraqi girl Zeynab Terash puts the issue of explosive remnants of war and their impact on innocent civilians into a historical framework. Whilst posing questions about the role of governments the film also explains what individuals can do to assist people like Lai and Zeynab. Suitable for use with Children or adults alike this short film is one of the best I have seen on the issue and focuses on both mine clearance and how to assist landmine survivors.
