Dolph Lundgren wanted Chris Hemsworth to play He-Man, but Hemsworth turned down the role due to its similarities with his role of Thor.
It was announced in April 29, 2021 that Noah Centineo had quit the project. Producers will now try to find a new actor to bring Prince Adam and He-Man to life on the big screen. While no reason was given for his leaving, in the past Centineo had spoken about the weight of the iconic role and that playing it is a "really big responsibility," so some insiders hinted that maybe he decided he wasn't up to the task.
On Jan 28th 2022 it was announced that Kyle Allen would be taking over the role of Prince Adam/He-Man. Principle production is said to start in summer of 2022.
After officially acquired the film from Sony, this will be Netflix's fourth Masters of the Universe project after She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018), Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021) and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2021).
