Sex & Nudity

  • Sexual conversation is pervasive and often crude.
  • Sex scenes are very crude and usually include over the top touching and thrusting, but they're always clothed. There are a lot of scenes with groping of (clothed) breasts. Bras are occasionally visible.
  • A few scenes contain nudity (men and womens butts only), but these are infrequent.
  • One male character offers to be a model for a life drawing class. He is nude in this scene. A female character who is in this class paints a picture of him (full frontal) which is seen multiple times through the rest of the series.

Violence & Gore

Profanity

  • Occasional use of Fuck.
  • "Cunt" is sometimes used (Sue White uses it a couple of time). It is referred to (usually as 'the c-word') occasionally.
  • Frequent use of milder profanities such as shit, damn and bitch

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Most characters smoke and are seen smoking throughout
  • A lot of episodes include scenes at pubs, which includes drinking
  • In one episode, Caroline Todd, the main character, holds a party in which most people, including herself become drunk. She kisses four people (3 males and 1 female) during this scene.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Green Wing is primarily a comedy, but has drama elements as well, particularly in the second series

Sex & Nudity

  • In the final episode of the first series, Guy Secretaire has sex with Joanna Clore, who is revealed earlier in the episode to be his mother, which neither were aware of at the time, although we the viewers are aware.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • After finding out she isn't pregnant, which later turns out false, Harriet smokes four or five cigarettes at once to celebrate

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A major character (Mac) is revealed to have a terminal disease which means he will die some point relatively soon in the future
