Own the rights?
I am a graduate of the Naval Academy. I knew that the Academy, and the Navy, had withheld their support of the movie due to the script. The depictions of academy life are so unrealistic that they are almost funny. While I realize that sometimes Hollywood needs to "juice up" some things, in this case the result is so very, very far from reality that it becomes almost unrecognizable. I am proud to be an Academy graduate, and cherish what it stands for -- I only wish there was some way they could have prevented the makers from using the name "Annapolis" or any inferred link to the Naval Academy. All that aside, the plot is awful, and the acting is barely passable for professionals.Don't waste your time or money!!
