The Difference Between Art and Entertainment!

It's a shame that audiences have become so conservative in their approach to films that require their thought and attention. TV and film is so full of buffed, big-breasted robots that look like a hundred different versions of the same person, they've made it nearly impossible to appreciate human uniqueness and originality on any level. That's why we see so little of it (unfortunately)! But for the nine of us who don't require saturation T & A, or a budget of a hundred million dollars to keep our precious interest, (sorry, Incredibles!) there are shows like The Realm of Never. They make us remember words like "avant-garde" and "experimental" and make us appreciate the art of storytelling on a shoe string budget. Sometimes, the lack of a studio breathing down your back is what inspires a filmmaker to go with the flow, right or wrong, and deliver product that would never see the light of day. That's how classics are born. Most of the stuff you see today makes you turn your mind off and go for the ride. Nothing wrong with that. It's entertainment. The Realm of Never makes you turn your mind on, gives you the keys to the car and says "Drive!" Nothing wrong with that, either. It's art. For those out there, and I hope there are more than 9, who can still get into "unconventional," "against the grain" and just plain "good," The Realm of Never is to be watched.

Extremely moving story and well written.

The Bully is one of my favorite episodes from The Realm of Never series. This piece moved me to tears and each time I watch it, I still have the same reaction. I think we can all relate to this subject matter in one or the other. We have all in some time in our lives have either acting as a bully or been on the receiving end. It is timeless in the subject matter and will be a piece that people will relate to for years to come. My compliments to the writer who understands human nature and that we have all experienced times when we felt helpless.The actors really felt the emotion of the situation and conveyed that to the audience.I know that with the proper funding, the possibilities are endless. I know that The Realm of Never will find their way to bringing this type of quality programming for all to experience.
