Discovery Channel has greenlighted another Deadly show from Original Prods., the production company behind the network's Deadliest Catch, that will focus on professional risk-takers. In addition, Discovery has ordered a second season of Catch. Original Prods. has already started shooting the new series, Deadly Seasons, which chronicles the lives of people who pursue dangerous professions, including smoke jumpers, bomb squads, iceberg wranglers, storm chasers and fishermen who seek deep-sea lobster. Seasons is targeted to premiere in first-quarter 2006. Following people who "put their lives on the line every day" makes for "unbelievable television," said Thom Beers, who created and executive produces Seasons and Catch. Beers is the founder of Original Prods., which also produces Discovery's Monster Garage, Monster House and Biker Build-Off, among other shows.
