Hysterical look at superheroes going through the worst time in their lives... high school!
amandajpowderly3 August 2004
If only the feature could be made! This is a hysterical look at high school life for our beloved superheroes had they been cast in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. We only see the trailer of what might have been if the comic book kings worked together for the entertaining betterment of us all and would allow a feature to be made. Now I'll only be able to imagine the scenes of The Flash taking Jean Grey to the abortion clinic cause Cyclops impregnated her. Or was it Wolverine... What we do get to see is how fast the Flash can be in private, how Wonder Woman and Poison Ivy try to impress the boys at lunch with some vegetables and a large watermelon, and how Lex Luthor started out as the bully that had pepperoni and kryptonite pizzas sent to the premature Super Boy. A great little ditty that will have you laughing and rolling around in your office chair!

...and I'm still watching this thing! I can't stop! I've already showed one of my suitemates and emailed it to two friends. By tomorrow night, everyone I know will have seen it. I've enjoyed my share of both teen romps and comics and I think "Fast Times At Hero High" has the best of both worlds. For an independent short, the acting's pretty good. I honestly can't pick a favorite part of this thing 'cause it's all good. I know the odds are against this becoming something more, but I would pay for this as a straight to video series or something. Honestly, I can see it making the rounds of Adult Swim, Comedy Central, or even Fox (though their habit of canceling promising shows is a bit discouraging).

HIGH-LARIOUS!!!
melikeemovies23 July 2004
I must have watched this movie 100 times already, and it NEVER gets old. It plays like a trailer for a feature-length film. It's simply a bunch of quick vignettes and jokes of various Marvel and DC superheroes (and some villains) while in high school. It's SOOOO on the mark it's not funny...it's HIGH-LARIOUS!!! It's like all the bets bits from a movie crammed into 4 or 5 minutes. Alas, that feature- length movie will never come to fruition. I mean, can you imagine the red tape getting all of the right for those characters together on-screen? IN-SANE!!!

Would be great though.

Anyway, kudos to these guys for their effort!!! Hope we see more hilarity from them in the future!!!

Just Few words: genial

A genial short movie, very funny and with a lots of beautiful girls. The short is about the youth of famous superhero, as superman, wonder woman, green lanter, thor ecc... Their adventure at the high school, but don't expect classical superhero situation, this short mix American pie with the best heroes... Great gag, with the hero view in a satirical way (see thor or green lantern). A must see short, five minute of laugh! A good idea for a long movie, instead of this new and not-so-good movie as "daredevil" or the new "catwoman"... Or better, i hope this will give an idea for a new series as "buffy" with the superheroes... marvel/dc create a funny TV series!!!

so, so

Take a handful of clichés and scenes from a couple of teen sex movies and have them reenacted by young superheroes and you've got it figured out. Hardly inventive or humorous. It's been done with everything you can think of. Saturday morning cartoons, puppets, cute furry creatures, the list goes on and on.

Note to young film makers: The genre has been covered, move on. What is surprising is that a film with so much sexual innuendo was filmed at Biola University, a private conservative Christian institution. Anyone who has ever been on campus will recognize Sutherland Auditorium and Common Grounds. It makes you wonder what kind of superpowers were used to quietly film this without administrative permission. Perhaps the director and script writers learned the Jedi mind trick. Ooh, there's a gimmick left out of this 'gem', Luke Skywalker convincing the principal he doesn't need a hall pass. See, what I'm saying, it's not all that hard to come up with this kind of stuff.
