- A girl is in only a bra and underwear.

- Several scenes with excessive football violence - tackles, hits, etc. Some blood is shown on players and their jerseys as a result.
- Alot of football action and violence. Boobie gets injured in the beginning of the film. Don's dad is very abusive with Don. Boobie re-injured himself when trying to come back. The final game against Dallas-Carter is very brutal.
Profanity

- 1 bleeped out "f" word, 9 "s" words, 12 hells, 10 damns, 5 asses, 7 uses of "G-damn" and 1 use each of "Jesus Christ" and "Oh my God."

- Billingsly's dad is drunk in at least one scene.
- Billingsly is using chewing tobacco and spitting into a cup in one scene.
- Mike's mom is on serious medication. A party involving under-aged drinking.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- It's not at all frightning, but VERY dramatic for a football movie. Some might feel uncomfortable with Don's dad. Boobie Miles' injury (especialy his second one) can upset people. This may upset high school football players as it shows how hard it is to make it to big time college football.

- Permian loses the state championship game. We see the players' reactions. This scene can be extremely sad for viewers, especially those who have been in that situation.
