Ryan Gosling is ready for liftoff, buzz cut and all.
The First Man star was spotted on set of the upcoming Neil Armstrong biopic on Wednesday, rocking a markedly shorter hairdo in the style of the iconic astronaut, who became the first human to set foot on the moon in 1969. Armstrong died in 2012.
The film, which reunites Gosling with La La Landdirector Damien Chazelle, is set to premiere Oct. 12, 2018, and also stars Claire Foy, Jon Bernthal and Corey Stoll, who will portray Buzz Aldrin.
Gosling was quite a trouper, too. Despite shooting a hot, sunny summer scene, the actual temperature in Atlanta, Georgia, where the movie is being filmed, is 28 degrees! The 37-year-old actor had a bathrobe and a hot water bottle to keep warm between takes.

The movie has been shooting since October, when Gosling was spotted channeling Armstrong -- with longer hair -- while showing off his lasso skills.

Et is taking a walk down memory lane with Justin Timberlake.
The Grammy winner is less than two months away from headlining the Super Bowl Lii Half Time show, a performance that will kick off a big year for Timberlake, as well as his fifth studio album. In honor of his upcoming accomplishments, Et's Facebook Watch series, When We First Met, is looking back at his incredible evolution.
The 36-year-old singer has come a long way in his two and a half decades in the industry; he made his first TV appearance in a cowboy hat and boots as an 11-year-old on Star Search. Six years -- and a Micky Mouse Club -- later, the performer met Et for the first time with curly bleach blond hair and smooth moves as part of *Nsync.
"It's called adolescence, and it's painful for all of us," he joked to Et in 2007. "And look, you can reference...

Taylor Swift hasn't looked this fierce since her red carpet appearance at the 2016 Met Gala.
On Monday, the 27-year-old singer was excited to share that she is the cover girl for British Vogue's January issue, the first magazine she's graced since the release of her album, Reputation.
On the cover, Swift poses in a backless red Ysl gown with silver studs all over it. As for her hair, the front of the 'do features old Hollywood-style waves while the back is simply scrunched up to make loose curls. Like her look at the Met Gala, the Grammy winner rocks black lipstick along with super dark eye makeup to make the photo all the more sultry and goth-like.
Swift was quite pleased with the finished product and praised fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for their vision of the cover, as well as British Vogue's editor-in-chief Edward Enninful. "Thank you @edward_enninful and @mertalas for your passion...

Taylor Swift's return to the stage -- and her edgier style -- are official, as she performed for the second night in a row following a 10-month hiatus.
The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer layered an oversized, distressed plaid top over a sheer mesh bodysuit for CBS Radio's 99.7 Now! Poptopia holiday concert on Saturday in San Jose, California. A pair of black shorts, silver lace-up combat boots and her trademark tousled tresses completed Swift's festive-yet-fierce look.

The 27-year-old singer joined her best friend and fellow Grammy winner Ed Sheeran for a flirty rendition of their song, "End Game," just a day after the duo performed the track at Kiis FM's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball show in Los Angeles. From teen actor to Oscar nominee, Et has been with Ryan Gosling through it all -- and our Facebook Watch series, When We First Met, has the footage to prove it.
After nearly winning big at the 2017 Oscars for his role in La La Land, the 37-year-old actor is hard at work bringing Neil Armstrong's life to the big screen in the biopic First Man, which is set to come out in 2018, 20 years after Gosling and Et were first introduced.
Et was with with the actor on the 1998 set of Young Hercules, but he started to make his mark in Hollywood years earlier, coming up on The Micky Mouse Club in 1993, alongside a few other famous faces.
"It was Britney and Justin and then Christina and myself, and it was like a bootcamp on the industry, you know?" he told Et in 2002. "It sort of taught us how to be professional."

Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran brought the house down at Kiis FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert at the Los Angeles Forum on Friday.
The 27-year-old singer, dressed in black shorts and a festive gold oversized shirt, was joined by her bestie during her six-song set to perform "End Game" live for the first time.
The annual holiday event marked Swift's first big show in 10 months since her pre-Super Bowl concert in February -- though Sheeran played coy about his duet with Swift ahead of the show.
"Who knows?" he replied to Et's Keltie Knight, when asked if they'd perform the song, adding: "There will be a music video for it."
During her set, Swift also gave fans a killer performance of "Ready For It?," "Blank Space" and "Shake It Off."
She also busted out her guitar and sang an acoustic version of "I Don't Wanna Live Forever," unfortunately sans Zayn Malik.

Tony winner Cynthia Erivo and Wicked actress Shoshana Bean shared a stellar cover of the singer's new song off her Reputation album, on Friday.
Dressed in black, the singers take turns singing the lyrics in a stripped-down version, which only features a violin and cello.

Justin Bieber isn't the only ex-boyfriend that Selena Gomez is still close to post-breakup.
The "Wolves" singer covers the recent issue of Billboard magazine and when asked about the "best part" of being single, she admits to keeping in touch with The Weeknd, even after the two called it quits last month.
"Something that I’m really proud of is that there’s such a true friendship [between me and The Weeknd]," she says. "I truly have never experienced anything like that in my life. We ended it as best friends, and it was genuinely about encouraging and caring [for each other], and that was pretty remarkable for me."
Gomez goes on to talk about why she started hanging out with Bieber again, whom she's dated off and on since 2010. "I’m 25. I’m not 18, or 19, or 20. I cherish people who have really impacted my life," she explains. "So maybe before, it could have been forcing something that wasn't right. But that doesn't...

From "Smiley Miley" to Miley Cyrus, Et has been there through it all.
In the premiere episode of Et's original Facebook Watch series, When We First Met, Et looks back on the first time we were introduced to the 24-year-old singer and her evolution in Hollywood since.

As we head rapidly toward the end of Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we face the prospect of the giant franchise delivering the third instalment of a beloved, core character’s trilogy. Chris Hemsworth’s Thor has been a staple of the film series since he debuted in Phase One, in 2011, under the direction of Kenneth Branagh. After teaming with the Avengers in their first movie in 2012, he then returned in Phase Two in Alan Taylor’s Thor: The Dark World, followed by Avengers: Age Of Ultron. During these years, Iron Man and Captain America already closed out their solo trilogies, and now, it’s time for the God of Thunder to do the same with Thor: Ragnarok.

The last time we caught up with composer Giona Ostinelli, he discussed his intriguing collaborations with Mickey Keating, and after the release of Carnage Park last summer, Ostinelli has kept busy creating unnerving music for Spike's The Mist TV series. Daily Dead had the pleasure of touching base with Giona once again for our latest Q&A to discuss conjuring creepy chords for the Stephen King adaptation.
Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us again, Giona. How did you get involved as the composer for Spike’s new The Mist TV series?
Giona Ostinelli: Thank you for having me, it’s always a pleasure! Well, I was hiking and suddenly the sun disappeared under a thick layer of fog. I tried making a phone call but, of course, there was no phone reception whatsoever and so I decided to wait it out until the sun comes back again.
