Storyline
VINCE D'ANGELO is a low life, Congressman from New Jersey who'll stop at nothing to get elected to the U.S. Senate. With his sleazy, below-the-belt campaign tactics, he's hell-bent on destroying his opponents reputations and getting himself and his wife to the top of the heap in Washington D.C. In "SCHOOL, GIRLS, & YOU," it's the 1950's -- and strait-laced Everdale University is about to go "coed". In order to prepare it's student body for the onslaught of "females" on campus, they present this hard-hitting educational film. Wally Bile is the "wrong-way" role model with Science Professor, Dr. Bloom. Dr. Bloom explains the vital "do's and don'ts" on dating women, and the all-important "warning signs" and "danger signals" to look out for when close-encountering the opposite sex. Written by

Just watched both segments that appeared on this HBO series on YouTube. "The Selling of Vince D'Angelo" stars and was directed by Danny DeVito with him playing the title character as a New Jersy politician running for Congress. So we get his first commercial, a new one made by experts, responses from his opponents to his accusations, a spot showcasing his "family", all before the results are revealed. Quite funny with some pertinent satire on the way an attempted assassination could help Vince like it helped Reagan and Pope John Paul II. With Rhea Perlman and Jason Hervey. "School, Girls, & You!" is a black-and-white satire of those '50s instructional films shown at colleges about the right and wrong way to handle the opposite sex. Pre-Pee Wee Herman Paul Reubens plays the wrong way as Wally whose experience with Ginger doesn't go well as opposed to more straight-laced Pete who avoids the danger signals his date Annette posed to him. We also get a color cartoon featuring a penis singing about the dangers of masturbation, something Reubens would know about soon enough... Very hilarious that one was! Like I said, both are on YouTube and are highly recommended. The first one gets a 7 and the second a 10.
