Ford Sterling appears in his usual eccentric characterization. Jealousy of a rival leads him to study hypnotism. He makes the rival jump in the lake. All goes well until the professor of hypnotism shows up. This contains a lot of amusing nonsense and is quite pleasing. - The Moving Picture World, October 10, 1914
