Psychiatrist Ewan McGregor has three days to stop tormented young art student Ryan Gosling from committing suicide in Marc Forster’s psychodrama. Their stories intertwine in an increasingly unreal world where everything is just a little off, from the alienating sets to the unnatural colors to the dreamlike imagery that hovers over every scene.
