It's OK

This is the second-to-shortest of the featurettes on the double-DVD of Dogville that have individual pages here on the site. It consists of footage from Cannes, narrated and inter-cut with interviews(that can be found in their full length on the disc) as well as material from the superior featurette, Dogville Confessions. This goes into how the festival was for Trier, members of his crew, Kidman and directors of other films that competed. It's well-edited enough, and the pace isn't bad. There are pieces of information in this that don't appear to be elsewhere on the set. With that said, you have to wonder if there was any other reason for assembling this; that they had stuff that didn't fit into the other documentaries. It's not particularly interesting, and it doesn't offer much insight or anything else compelling. You'll find out more watching almost anything else on the Added Value portion. This is in Danish, English and Swedish, but all of it is subtitled, for anyone who does not speak all three. There is nothing offensive in this. I recommend this solely to those who insist on checking out everything that came with purchasing the movie. 5/10
