Scout Taylor-Compton is a rock and roll kind of gal. So it makes sense that the 20-year-old actress -- and star of Sleepover, Halloween, and the new Halloween II -- would have given anything to land a role in The Runaways, a big-screen biopic about the iconic 1970s all-girl band that introduced rockers Joan Jett, Cherie Currie, Lita Ford, Sandy Westm, and Jackie Fox to the world. The film just wrapped production, and it's become a really big deal thanks to its killer cast, which includes Twilight star Kristen Stewart as Jett, New Moon newcomer Dakota Fanning as Currie, and Taylor-Compton as Ford. Taylor-Compton talked about The Runaways -- which will be released sometime next year -- while promoting Halloween II. How badly did you want to be part of The Runaways? I was so excited to do this movie ever since I heard about it a year ago. I

Sara Paxton, who is best known for her starring role as Stacie on 2004 flick "Sleepover", will become a guest star on Jonas Brothers' TV series "J.O.N.A.S!". The 21-year-old actress is going to appear on "Frantic Romantic", the 12th episode of the comedy show.
On the episode, which is scheduled to be broadcast on Disney Channel on Sunday, August 16 at 8:30 P.M. Et/Pt, the story will center on diva actress Paxton's Fiona Skye and Joe Jonas' Joe Lucas who are labeled as couple by tabloids. While Fiona is happy with the boost in her career, Joe tries to enlist help from Kevin Jonas' Kevin Lucas, Nick Jonas' Nick Lucas, Chelsea Staub's Stella Malone, and Nicole Anderson's Macy to break up their fictional relationship.
Two weeks ago, several new stills from "Love Sick", the 10th episode of "J.O.N.

o each his own. That's the second time I said that. Anyway, I'm referring to this young actor's reaction about the casting of High School Musical, the lead role eventually went to Zac Efron, and as they say, the rest is history.... But let us look back at one of the actors considered for the part of Troy. He's currently featured at GQ and it seems he got a lot of great stuff up his sleeves...
[The part of Troy] was down to five guys and then I got offered a part in this amazing Robin Williams movie. And I thought to myself: Fly to Vancouver and meet the director for this Robin Williams movie, or stay and finish the auditions for the Disney Channel movie? So I didn't even go to the last audition. I heard a rumor that I was their favorite, but I never made it to the end. I mean

David O. Russell Charting Teenage Rom Com Waters
9 April 2009

- After making political films, existential mindf*cks and then getting “nailed” by production woes, I can understand why David O. Russell might want to hit the "off" switch and take on something less demanding after-all, the teenage rom com seems to be the more popular menu du jour item these days. Aaron and Sarah will be produced by Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen. At this point we are unsure whether Russell will work on this already set script or hit The Silver Linings Playbook: A Novel for the Weinstein Co.
Before putting the project in turnaround, I quite liked the commonly overused term as a film title) Rogue Pictures had set George Lucas in Love director Joe Nussbaum (whose contribution to the film world came with teenage demo films Sleepover and Sydney White) to direct. Now Fox 2000 have changed the title and the overall direction of the project

“About time,” the guy sitting behind me says about 20 minutes into The Last House on the Left, when the movie is finally getting around to its raison d’etre: turning cinematic violence into something a dude can get turned on by. The guy was there, you see, because apparently this was an easier turnon than, say, renting the 1972 Wes Craven film upon which this is based (though this remake is much more pornographic) or, indeed, renting any of the other 1,843,439 other “horror” flicks of recent vintage that assume that the audience is a vicarious sexual sadist.
Though there is something ickily more disturbing about this example than any other movie I can remember from recent years.
What happens, you see, is that pretty and nearly naked teenaged girls Mari (Sara Paxton: Sleepover, Soldier) and Paige (Martha MacIsaac: Superbad) decide to go off from the safety of public view with

It was The Last House On The Left that first introduced me to the lovely Sara Paxton. So when I looked back at her career, I was shocked at how much she had done. Hell, she even recorded a few pop songs. And starting at the age of six, she is certainly no stranger to the business. But up until now, her roles were nothing like Mari Collingwood in Last House. We.re talking Aquamarine and Sleepover folks. But she is moving into more adult roles quite nicely if Last House is any indication.
