- The carnival shots are direct replicas of the carnival in this classic Film Noir that inspired Dylan's own "Ballad of a Thin Man," in particular the verse about the "geek"...later shots particularly in the "Mr. Jones" (Bruce Greenwood) sequence, set to Ballad of a Thin Man, replicate Tyrone Power's descent into madness and eventual "Geekdom".
