I love it!

I love Vietnam stuff. I love the atmosphere, the sixties music and the grim meat hook realities of nam. I've played all Vietnam games that were ever published and I found out that vietcong is king.

This game has a GREAT atmosphere! ( the developers created the masterpiece Mafia, so it ain't really a surprise.) Unlike other Vietnam games, this game has a great build-up. Instead of putting a gun in your hand almost immediately when you begin playing, you'll have to wonder around base-camp and do missions like helping the local villagers by giving them supplies. This game isn't like medal of honor or call of duty. This is a story set in Vietnam.

+ The weapons look and feel great +atmosphere +cool missions that you've never played before in a nam game. +Lots of blood and violence. the blood effects look realistic and you can shoot of arms legs and heads ( Hey, it's nam baby!) +The jungle, Characters and lighting effects look awesome.

-There are some weird and ugly looking animations. -where are the cool scripted events? -The AI can get really bad sometimes

I played so many war games but Vietcong has it's own special place in my heart. Same level with Call of Duty series. It's a shame it's no longer countinue...

I love the smell of Gameplay in the morning!

The Vietnam Conflict is still considered by many as a war that America regrets, but despite the personal vendetta that aging hippies had with their Government over aforementioned war, you can't deny that it makes for some excellent movies... featured some amazing music.. and as of now, has made an excellent Videogame.

Vietcong sets you as Hawkins, a wisecracking (And foul mouthed) soldier who's tired of his rear echalon training job and has volunteered to move up to the front to work with a special forces team situated just next to the Cambodian/Vietnam boarder. The game takes you from dense jungles, thick with "Charlie" to a mountain top where you can literally hear impending death fly past with every stray AK round that's fired at you.

While it's easily to dismiss war based first person shooters as "Same stuff, different situations", Vietcong manages to throw at you a brand new experience as far as FPS's are concerned. Instead of charging headfirst into corridor after corridor with an unrealistically large selection of weapons.. Vietcong makes you work with a team and lets you only carry what a normal G.I. would be able to carry. Lately the WW2 game "Call of Duty" has been praised for it's teamwork with A.I. bots (and rightfully so), but Vietcong did it first.. and for such an unrecognised leap forward in First person shooters, I salute you.

GAME WITH SOUL
milos-stupar-kistu4 June 2019
Even then in 2003 we know it will be a long lasting game! But today 2019, still playing multiplayer, lan or online., it is a miracle!

Single player is good, but multiplayer is great! Simple, this game have soul, have most precise hand granates of all shooting games ever! this game have sounds and have enormous amount of reality!

VC NEVER DIES
