This is an excellent documentary. It's presented by British comedian and political writer Jeremy Hardy. The actors are used to re-enact scenes as well as giving contemporary accounts of the events of the English Civil War through diary extracts and letters. As well as giving you a straightforward account of the events of the English Civil War this programme also makes interesting comparisons with our own age.
