The first major courtroom drama series in Denmark.
Due to disappointing ratings for the first eleven episodes of Forsvar, the series was changed in a number of ways for the second season. The episodes were a bit shorter, there was a new title sequence with an emotional title song, and the producers promised a stronger focus on feelings and personal relations as opposed to investigative procedures and court negotiations.
The four last episodes of the second season played out as two double episodes. The last double episode was the first to take a direct political angle as it dealt with the real-life legislation which allowed use of civilian police agents in the fight against organized crime.
