• The first major courtroom drama series in Denmark.
  
  
• Due to disappointing ratings for the first eleven episodes of Forsvar, the series was changed in a number of ways for the second season. The episodes were a bit shorter, there was a new title sequence with an emotional title song, and the producers promised a stronger focus on feelings and personal relations as opposed to investigative procedures and court negotiations.
  
  
• The four last episodes of the second season played out as two double episodes. The last double episode was the first to take a direct political angle as it dealt with the real-life legislation which allowed use of civilian police agents in the fight against organized crime.
