Lacey Chabert of Party of Five fame will get tough for helmer Mark Waters and Broadway Video Motion Pictures as she joins Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams as one of the leads in Paramount Pictures' teen comedy Mean Girls. She also has just signed with Paradigm. Jonathan Bennett also has signed on for a lead role in Mean Girls, which was penned by Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey. Lohan toplines as a girl who enrolls at an Illinois public high school after growing up abroad. She then experiences how cruel teenagers -- especially girls -- can be when she falls in love with the wrong guy (Bennett). Chabert will play one of the bad girls. Shooting will start this month in Toronto, with Lorne Michaels producing and Jill Messick executive producing. Chabert also is repped by Nine Yards Entertainment. Her recent credits include Daddy Day Care for Revolution Studios. Bennett is repped by the Gersh Agency, Amplitude Entertainment and attorney David Krintzman at Barnes, Morris, Klein, Mark, Yorn, Barnes & Levine. His other credits include Season of Youth and Law & Order: SVU.
