I've had the DVD for awhile and watched it several times on a 46" screen, and it was great.

Now, I have a 70" Sony and with the accompanying Bose system, it's as if I were at Donington.

The live version of "High Voltage" is one of the truly underrated hard rock songs of all time.

"Hells Bells," "Thunderstruck," "Highway to Hell" are awesome.

The movie shows how dynamic Brian Johnson's voice was in 1991.

Angus puts on a great show, and Chris Slade's drum work is as good as it gets. This should be a must for any AC DC fan.

Brilliant, ACDC at their best

Comparisons can be dangerous, however in this case I think justified. Comparing this to No Bull 1996, this is far and away superior sound mixing and recording. As for the show itself, a brilliant reproduction of the band and for best results, viewed on large widescreen and LOUD 5.1 surround sound. Angus at the front of the stage keeps the audience spellbound with his own unique blend of riffs and lead breaks. Cliff and Malcolm add solid metal rock by just being there. Brian continues to pick up where Bon Scott left off and Chris Slade holds it all together on the skins. That's the closest to a live show without being there. Simply superb. Onya' Angus.

High Voltage Rock'n'Roll

Superb performance by one of the best hard rockers ever! The best live recording of the band, even better than Let There Be Rock. Angus Young's (lead guitarist) guitar techniques have been perfected and he is still young enough to fly low around the stage as a winged duck... Brian Johnson's (lead singer) high pitched voice works unexceptionable and his performance are as eminent as Angus'. Steady and tight performance by Malcolm Young (rhythm guitar), Cliff Williams (bass) and Chris Slade (drums). It's a huge party with lightning music. This is AC/DC at their peak. The filming is a chapter of its own. Filmed in 35 mm with 26 cameras it documents AC/DC's performance perfectly. Cameras are placed among the audience, in a helicopter and underneath the stage filming through Plexiglas... The sound is also perfect, far better than for example the No Bull concert. The only thing a real AC/DC fan would miss, is Phil Rudd's (drummer of AC/DC until 1983 and again from 1995)laid-back drumming, but Chris Slade is doing great in his own furious style. A real must-see for all AC/DC fans and others who wants to watch a perfect timed and spectacular concert with a rare trustworthy performance.

This is a great portrayal of what a good rock concert should be like. Full of energy, lots of good tunes, and filmed on 35mm film, it is truly inspiring. I wish all shows could be this good. Long live AC/DC!

This concer is probably one of the best to be released on DVD!

The sound quality is fantastic. Each song comes through with great clarity.

You get to see Angus run a full marathon from one side of the stage to the other. He kicks out a solo for each of the songs, His solo on Jalibreak is probably one of the best!

The set list is very good consisting of all their great songs.

I would strongly recommend this video to any AC/DC fan who does not have it. I would also recommend it for any new AC/DC fan who has just gotten into listening to the band.

No Razor's Edge

I have the deluxe Live Album of the same concert and I watched this and was greatly saddened to see that the Live version of Razor's Edge was NOT included on the DVD.

I was crushed but overall, one of the best concerts I have ever seen. You can feel the audience's reactions the best during the opening of Thunderstruck.

Anghus Young plays the true axe-man role here and you can just see his seemingly endless energy here over and over again during every song! Amazing performance overall!

Simple, yet effective.

That is the best explanation for this video and the band themselves. The camera goes back and forth. It zooms in and out. This is not very exciting, except for that classic cannon fire, but the band makes up for it. AC/DC plays a variety of older material and tracks from their newer album, The Razor's Edge. Brian Johnson prowls the stage doing his best to make up for the absence of Bon Scott, while Angus Young works his Chuck Berry homage as only he can. All nineteen songs fly by, played with the power that makes several of them classics and the rest giddy confections. This is either a fine treat for lovers of this recent inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or a fine introduction to one of the greatest of the last quarter century.

Good stuff but not their best

This is good snapshot of the band in that era, but definitely not the best example of ACDC live.

It's entertaining and the band still had plenty of energy, with Brian becoming more of a stage performer - later on of course he became even more comfortable up there.

Slade was a fine drummer but regularly played the songs too fast, spoiling the stomping feel somewhat.

On that tour Angus deviated strangely to a more distorted sound which was not typical of his previous sound. Subsequently the twin guitars are not quite the classic sound which you can hear on Youtube before or after this era.

Brian sounds great, even though his voice sounded quite churned up and ragged in that era, it suited the raw power of the music, and in reality it was his last tour as a real balls-out power singer, though he has certainly showed flashes of that here and there in each tour since. His best live work and quality of voice can be found in the 80s stuff - there's no shame in admitting that.

Overall it's great stuff, but the most representative Brian-eras are with Rudd on drums. It's a '7' by their standards but an '8' or '9' compared to what else is out there.

Ya gotta love em

Although nearly half a million fans turned out at Downsview in Toronto in 2003 to see the headlining act -- The Rolling Stones -- all anyone talked about after the show was AC/DC, and how they pretty much blew all the other acts off the stage. That's got to tell you SOMETHING, and this DVD goes a long way toward explaining why that was so: it certainly shows the Thunder From Down Under at their hard-rocking best. Angus Young is (as always) a treat to watch. Not only is his guitar technique almost supernaturally skillful, his whole "slightly whacko" schick (e.g. his "seizure" during that extended guitar solo) is just so entertaining! And the sound... ohmygoodness. You crank up the Dolby 5.1 on a good sound system and you'll FEEL it in your gut, that's a personal guarantee. Oh yes, this is the way concerts SHOULD be recorded. (And isn't it great they performed Jailbreak? That's a kick-ass AC/DC classic that doesn't get anywhere NEAR enough air-play, in my opinion.) I think my only complaint about this concert is that a lot of Brian Johnson's between-song banter seems to me to be awfully forced and insincere. But hey, a guy that can sing like that doesn't NEED to do a lot of talking...

For those about to rock

If you want to rock out to one of the best rock bands ever then this is a must purchase. AC/DC is a band that always knows what it's fans want and then gives it to them. This is a live concert DVD with one of AC/DC's with plenty of high energy and excitement that you've come to associated with AC/DC concerts. Angus Young works the crowd like only he can. From the very beginning to the very end of the concert the energy level never lets up.

Brian Johnson voice fits well with earlier Bonn Scott(the original singer of AC/DC) songs like "Jailbreak", "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be", "Highway To Hell", "The Jack", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap". The concert features a lot of songs from the Razor's Edge album which was new at the time with songs like "Thunderstruck" and "Fire Your Guns". There are the usual songs such as "Back In Black", "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Hells Bells", "Shoot To Thrill".

About as good as a filmed gig is going to get

There weren't many well filmed gigs in the late 80s/early 90s, and this one does manage to capture a lot of the feeling of being there.

I would & should be rating this a 10. This is my favorite band and having these concerts on DVD is wonderful. I'm afraid I'm of the ones that didn't like the sound being fixed. I knew something was up the first viewing when Brian was briefly singing with his mic down a few times and some of Angus's solos looked fishy. I've read the Brazilian DVD release has the original sound as on the VHS tape, wish I could get ahold of that one. It's hard to tell the extent of the tampering in what songs because of the choppy editing hiding it. I'm thinking it was mostly in earlier portions. Maybe there was some feedback or the guitar wireless cut out, that's life, I want to see the real concert. Let There Be Rock the movie wasn't a night of technically perfect spot-free audio but we got to live in that moment. When you start over dubbing songs you rob us of being there. I still have this DVD and try to pretend it's all really happening that way when I watch it but I give higher ratings to their next 3 concert releases.

AC/DC: Live at Donington (1992)

Hard rocking concert from AC/DC features all their hits as twenty-six cameras pick up all the action in 35mm. This group has released countless concerts over the years and even the bootleg market has quite a bit of footage out there but I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better show than this. The original release and current DVD/CD contain a great mix and some wonderful visuals that put the viewer right in the center of the concert. Angus Young steals the show with his frantic guitar playing proving that he's one of the most underrated out there. Brian Johnson's lead vocals are incredibly strong and among the best work in his career. The highlights for me are the underrated "Money Talks" and a really hard hitting "You Shook Me All Night Long". The standard classics like "Back in Black", "Highway to Hell" and "For Those About to Rock" also sound terrific. AC/DC fans are certainly going to eat this up but even non-fans will probably enjoy it as long as they're into classic rock.

You can't get better than this!

When you saw the huge crowd, screaming down below the stage, you knew this was gonna be a good show! They rocked long and hard, getting better all the time. AC/DC are the best, but this is showing them in their true colours. A great DVD to get and the tracks on the CD are even better. Just get this, you'll be impressed and rocked.

Even though I had to watch this with only half the volume up, it was one of the best live concerts on DVD I've ever seen, apart from Placebo in Paris of course,.

I definitely recommend to any AC/DC fan or any lover of heavy metal music, I will give this *****/*****
