When the townspeople are battling the final Graboid, it is horizontal and laying fully above ground. But in one shot, it switches to being vertical, with only its top half above ground. Then it switches back.

This film establishes that Burt's family has lived on the same land in Perfection and that Walter's family has been running the general store for over 100 years. However, in the first film, neither Walter nor Burt were actually from Perfection. Burt states that he and Heather moved there because the geographical isolation suits their lifestyle and Walter has a rather thick Asian accent that never would've developed growing up in Nevada.
Hiram gave his cuff links and double eagle to Black Hand Kelly as a down payment and put them in his pocket. Kelly was then eaten by a graboid in the muling station. After Hiram leaves rejection intending to return East, he uses the double eagle to buy weapons in Carson City and return for the final battle.
