• Continuity: At the mall, Cassandra's necklace keeps switching around between shots so that the Hebrew lettering is alternately visible and invisible.
  
  
• Continuity: Immediately after the dressing room montage, the can of Sprite Cassandra is drinking in the food court jumps from her right hand to her left hand and back to her right hand between shots.
  
  
• Continuity: When Roland is stranded at the school he sleeps in front of the giant Jesus billboard. In the morning he is shown laying on his back, on the ground, covered with his jacket. When he sits up seconds later, he is wearing his jacket.
  
  

• Errors in geography: A sign visible in the background of one scene in the school lobby uses the spelling "honour", an indication that the school is actually Canadian.
  
  
• Continuity: While at a downtown cafe, Cassandra reaches over to mess up his hair with her left hand. She has a cigarette in her left hand, but in the next shot the cigarette is gone.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Shots of trees with leaves that have changed colors appear throughout the early part of the film, yet it takes place at the beginning of the school year, presumably September. Fall foliage would not start that early in Maryland, where the film takes place.
  
  
• Errors in geography: When Mary goes to the drugstore to by a home pregnancy test, she passes a stand of health-related brochures. The film is supposed to take place in the US, but was filmed in Canada. One of the brochures she passes is for the CNIB, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
  
  
• Errors in geography: The film is set in the US, but the drugstore that Mary visits is a Drugstore Pharmacy. That company only exists in Canada.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mary gets into Cassandra's car for the first time, the interior shot of her entering the car shows it to be very dark outside the car, indicating late evening or night time, the following wide exterior shot is of a mid afternoon.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mary hits her head on the ladder and starts to drown, the carpenter dives into the pool to save her. When he dives in, he is wearing shoes, but as he brings her back to the surface, he is barefoot.
  
  
• Continuity: The prom takes place in June, yet in the scene after Hillary Faye crashes into the Jesus billboard at the prom, you can see everyone's breath as if it is very cold outside.
  
  
• Errors in geography: In the food court of the "Maryland" mall, extras seated behind the main characters are eating French fries from the fast food chain New York Fries - a Canadian company.
  
  
• Errors in geography: As the main characters sit in the food court of the "Maryland" mall, the signature green sign of the company Grand & Toy is clearly visible behind Mary's head. Grand & Toy is a Canadian company.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mary and Cassandra are helping with the Prom preparations, Patrick helps Mary fold the banner, and it's all crumpled, in the next shot when Patrick is holding it, it is perfectly folded.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mary's mother is at dinner with Pastor Skip, her elbows are alternately on/off the table between shots.
  
  
• Continuity: Hilary Faye crashes her van into Jesus, and her crown supposedly flies off, but right after the shot of it landing on the floor, we see it on her head again.
  
  
• Errors in geography: During the scene where prom decorations are being set up, a "Bell Canada" payphone can be seen in the background of Hilary Faye speaking, yet, this film is supposed to take place in Maryland.
  
  
• Continuity: After Cassandra is saved, the next day at school, at Hilary Faye's locker, Cassandra pinches Hilary's cheek. When Cassandra pinches her cheek, Hilary's sweater goes down from her face, in the next shot, Hilary's sweater is back up.
  
  
• Continuity: When Tia is reaching for the receipt under Hilary Faye's seat her purse changes position from shot to shot.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: In the scene where Mary and Hilary Faye are painting the Jesus Billboard, you can see that there is no paint on their brushes.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mary and Patrick are folding the red banner, it is very messed up, as it would be as it is folded in a hurry. But the next shot shows the banner already folded, it is nice and neat as if it just came out of the package.
  
  
• Continuity: When the girls arrive at the prom in Hilary's van you can hear the click as she removes her seat belt. When it comes back to her the seat belt is on again. Then when they show her again, it is off once more.
  
  
• Continuity: Mary's nail polish disappears and reappears numerous times, sometimes between classes.
  
  

• Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: In the last scene in the hospital after Mary has given birth there is a shot looking out the window of Pastor Skip getting out of the car with a bouquet of flowers. This scene takes place the day after Prom, which is at the end of the school year, but fall leaves are clearly visible on the trees indicating the scene was filmed in the fall.
